Selina Deen BA

Selina Deen was born in Middlesbrough.

She is married and lives in Teesside with her husband and children. Before becoming a writer she gained an HND in Beauty Therapy Management, but decided to give that profession up in favour of writing.

She has been recognised by the QCA (www.qca.org.uk) as one of Britain's contemporary poets. Her poem "Eastern Promises" was featured in the Middle English Syllabus for 11-14 years olds-The Tyger, The Rose and The Pleasure Dome amidst the works of great poets such as Robert Burns, Christina Rossetti, Robert Graves and Robert Henrick to name but a few late, great poets.

She has had many short stories published in a variety of magazines including "The Message" which was published in "Spirit of Romance".

She gained a Batchelor of Arts in 1992.

Her style of writing varies from the unexpected to the much hoped for happy ending. She has a unique ability to allow her characters to express the diversity of relationships and experiences in such a way that even though it's fiction, you might just find yourself wondering if you know just who she is writing about!
